Present in the National Immigration Office after entering the country
There are three kinds of documents: issued in the coutry of origen, Argentina and UAP
Issued in the country of origen:
1. Passport valid and in use.
2. Original Birth Certificate certified or with an “Apostille.” (students under the age of 18)
3. Criminal Records: if you are older than sixteen (16) years old when you enter the country, you need a clean criminal record of your country or the countries you have lived in the last five (5) years, certified or with an “Apostille”, issued by National Police Department/FBI (for USA).
4. Authorization to apply for residency (students under the age of 18) – At the moment of entering Argentina, foreign students who are underaged according to the legislation of the country of origin, must submit the proper authorization to travel and apply for residency in the REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA.
Argentina:
1. Entry: It is accredited with a seal printed by the migratory authority in the passport or Entry Card.
2. Clean Criminal Record in the Republic of Argentina, issued by Argentinean Federal Police or the National Registry of Criminal Records, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. ($30,00)
3. Sworn Affidavit of Permanent Residence:
a. Pay a $5 pesos stamp in the local Bank to be presented before the police.
b. In-campus student: ask for a certificate of in-campus student in the Students Affairs Office.
c. Off-campus student: go to the police station with two unrelated, Argentinean witnesses who are older of 18 years of age.
4. Pay the services repayment fee established by the rules in force. On the date $600 (six hundred) subject to the disposition of the National Management of Migrations.
5. One picture 4x4, white background.
All documents written in a foreign language (with the exception of Potuguese) must be translated into Spanish and the translation must be certified by any Association of Sworn Translators of Argentina.
UAP:
1. Evidence of Enrolment as a regular student issued by the institution and signed by competent authority (In this University, it is issued during the process of enrolment).
2. Curriculum of the course of studies signed by a competent authority (In this University, it is issued during the process of enrolment).
The Migratory benefit to be granted will be a temporary residency for one year, renewable at the end of the period.
